Hi I am Scott Malcolm.  Thanks for stopping by to find out more about our business and values based financial life planning approach.  We work in the areas of self managed superannuation, public sector superannuation, wealth creation, salary sacrifice, redundancy, estate and risk management planning.

Our values based approach helps you to create your financial decision making framework and brings together technical expertise and the human touch to create a solution tailored towards your overall life goals.

I am Canberra born and bred but for the last few years I spend my life between Canberra and Melbourne.  Or as I like to say I live in two of the best cities in the world!

My passion is helping people to unpack their money stuff and build a framework aimed at achieving your plans in life!

I have been in the financial services industry since 2000 and prior to starting Money Mechanics worked as senior financial planner for another national firm.

I am an Authorised Representative (ASIC No. 262368) of Infocus Securities Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 47 097 797 049) AFSL and Australian Credit Licence No. 236523.

In 2005 I became the first Registered Life Planner (RLP) in Australia with the Kinder Institute of Life Planning (www.kinderinstitute.com) after completing the EVOKE training program in the United States and a 12 month mentorship program.

I have been awarded the Self Managed Super Fund Specialist Advisor (SSA) with the Self Managed Super Fund Professionals Association of Australia and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP) with the Financial Planning Association of Australia.

I enjoy seeing people learn and understand more about money in their life and have been teaching at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) and Laneway Learning in Melbourne on Financial Planning topics since 2007.

If you want a second opinion on the strategies you currently have in place or want to grab a coffee let me know!
